This week on WCCW Live, there was a good mix of action, talk, and chaos!
Maximum Carnage and Chuck Norris proved that their rivalry was far from done, as Norris took a loss on the part of the Cowboy from Hell as an opportunity to rub his PPV win in Carnage's face.
OG Flash, fresh off of an impressive PPV debut earned a shot at Bob Van Damn's WCCW Extreme Championship at the next PPV. Flash earned this after pinning Carnage with the Drive-By Splash. But, Flash faces Jack Norton in next week's Main Event in an Extreme Rules match as ordered by WCCW Commissioner JJ Dillon.
Dillon himself was viciously attacked by Norton prior to the Parking Lot Brawl Main Event between Norton and The Phreak. Norton fled the pursuing law enforcement agents with a stolen car and was also followed by The Phreak.
BVD showed he was ready for his PPV opponent with a win over Chuck Norris. BVD is on quite the winning streak lately and hopes to retain his title against OG Flash.
At the A Midsummer's Nightmare PPV event, a pair of exciting title matches left fans reeling with excitement and anticipation for even more WCCW Action.
Max Fallob, who traded in the now-defunct Television Title for his shot at the ig time, succeeded in his effort and was crowned WCCW Champion after a pair of submission eliminations. Newcomer O.G. Flash was the final elimination for the new Champion, having himself eliminated Link Williams via his Drive-By Splash. But, following a Max Factor and a Dragon Sleeper, Flash had little choice but to succumb and tap out.
In what many are calling the Match of the Year, Bob Van Damn and The Phreak tore the house down in a Hardcore showcase where falls did not count in the ring. Both superstars exchanged finishers, but it was the German Suplex executed to perfection that gave BVD the big win and allowed him to retain the WCCW Extreme Championship!
This week on WCCW Live, World Class Commissioner James J. Dillon announced that the WCCW Championship Committee and the WCCW Board of Directors has discontinued and unsanctioned the WCCW Television Title.
Not wanting to leave current champion Max Fallob out in the cold, Dillon placed Max into the Main Event at A Midsummer's Nightmare as the third combatant in the Fatal-Four-Way for the vacant WCCW Championship.
"The Patriot" Chad Smith has vacated the WCCW Championship and stepped away from professional wrestling.
"It is obvious to me that I have to find something else about myself other than competition," began the now former WCCW Champion, "so I have to resign my contract and give Mr. Dillon back this belt."
James J. Dillon was quick to announce a title match at A Midsummer's NIghtmare. "I have to crown a second Champion in as many Pay-Per-View's." said an exasperated Dillon.
Adom Astounding, the only remaining finalist from the Triple Title Tournament has been named the first participant in a Four-Way Elimination match that will crown a Champion.
Joining him is newcomer "The King of Old School" O.G. Flash. Flash is set to debut in the title match and was hand picked by Chad Smith as his replacement in WCCW. "I'm super psyched to have a chance at the most prestigious belt in wrestling." said Flash from the recording studio.
The final two participants will earn their spots durig next week's WCCW live through a pair of qualifying bouts. The competitors of these qualifying matches are yet to be named.
Mike Kennedy, who was delayed in debuting with World Class Championship Wrestling due to an injury has alerted the WCCW Offices that he has recovered quicker than first thought and is ready to debut in WCCW.
Supercard has come to an end and WCCW has three new Champions. Click on our Pay-Per-View tab at the left to read the results.
A number of new Superstars are joining WCCW and will all debut this week on WCCW Live. The Submission Kid, a canadian grappler and product of the legendary Hart Family Dungeon; Jack "The Hangman" Norton, a big, burly, surly, Texan who cares about nothing but dominating the competition that dares to get in his way; and Maximum Carnage, The Cowboy From Hell signed his WCCW Contract in the blood of Chuck Norris.
Mike Kennedy, who has yet to debut with WCCW, was injured while working out his final independent obligations. Kennedy will be joining WCCW as soon as his is healthy and able to do so. We here at WCCW wish Kennedy the speediest of recoveries.
In better news, WCCW has secured the services of Lance "The Phenom" Calloway. Lance is the second member of the WCCW roster trained by a WWE Superstar. Lance is a big bruiser and claims to have surpassed the skills of his legendary teacher. Lance will get a chance to show his skills, as he has been granted a PPV debut at Supercard.
The legendary manager of the Four Horsemen stepped out of retirement and onto the stage at the Sportatorium to announce that he, J.J. Dillon, was indeed the man that the WCCW Championship Committee had chosen to run the ship here in World Class Championship Wrestling.
"I hated the fact that I had to let Astounding have a free pass in the Triple Title Tournament be my first act as WCCW Commissioner," stated Dillon in his upstairs office after the end of WCCW Live, "but he was there and his opponent wasn't, so he got to move on."
But, Dillon also announced the double Main Event of next week's WCCW Live broadcast in the form of The Phreak and "Amazing" Adom Astounding taking each other on inside the confines of a Hell in a Cell, and "The Patriot" Chad Smith doing battle in a Parking Lot Brawl, but not with Mark Madness, he instead wil be taking on second round opponent Max Fallob. But, Dillon did assure the two budding rivals that they could indeed go at it at the conclusion of Smith's assigned bout.
With this legendary grappler, manager, and now commissioner on board with the relaunched World Class Championship Wrestling, things are sure to get even hotter deep in the heart of Texas!
"The Soul Survivor" Kevin Mero has been signed to a contract by officials of World Class Championship Wrestling. Mero, a survivor of the now defunct WWESim, has brought his skills to be plyed in a WCCW ring. While Mero isn't a part of the WCCW Triple Title Tournament he is sure to work his way into the title hunt in the future!
At the end of this week's WCCW Live broadcast, a Commissioner will be assigned to World Class Championship Wrestling. What legend could be stepping out of the shadows to come into this prestigious role? Or, will the Board of Directors simply hand the reigns to a newcomer? Check back here later in the week for the big debut!
In an interview prior to their match on WCCW Live, Mark Maddness called into question the service record of "The Patriot" Chad Smith, seen above.
"I think he is a damn phoney talking all patriotic like he made some kind of a difference. Now
I've met some phoneys before but this guys gotta be pretty low to pretend hes got some kind of military back ground to get a reaction from the fans." began Madness, "Now who knows, maybe I'm wrong, maybe he is an American hero, but if he isn't I plan to expose this guy and my actions will truly speak louder than words when i beat this supposed combat trained vet in the ring tonight."
Chad Smith was reached for comment, but was on his way through the curtain for the match and was couldn't stop to talk. We will have more on this story in the recap of WCCW Live later this week.
Texas grappler, and complete sociopath, Maximum Carnage, while not under a WCCW Contract, has already started to stir the pot in World Class Championship Wrestling.
Carnage appeared outside the Sportatorium to make his intentions known about wanting to join the relaunched WCCW. More interestingly though, were his comments directed at Texas hero Chuck Norris.
"Does he think that this is a movie set?" questioned Carnage, "Listen, Walker Texas Ranger was canceled a few years back. If you want, Ranger, all you have to do is get the front office to make me the offer I want and I'll show you why the Man without Fear, The Cowboy from Hell will own this building when I wrestle, and why you're just a washed up actor that is the butt of internet jokes."
Norris was quick to respond to the challenge.
"The last time someone doubted me it didn't turn out so pretty. Someone came up to me and said 'You know, the roundhouse kick isn't the best way to kick someone.' That was recorded by historians as the biggest mistake in history. Well Max, you better watch your tongue because if you don't, you'll be parking in a handicapped spot. And just so you know, those spots aren't marked for handicapped drivers, its a warning that its my spot and if you park in it you'll be the one who's handicapped." Norris went on, "So if you've got the balls to sit there and call me out why don't you show me what you're made of."
More on this story as it develops.
With a recent departure from WCCW, there has been a change to the Triple Title Tournament. Saint Todge requested and was granted release from his WCCW contract early Monday Morning. Therefore, Max Fallob has been inserted in his place in the Tournament and will take on Chuck Norris this week on WCCW Live.
